If you’re skilled at trading, becoming a Master Trader at Bybit is a way of investing, by which you can promote your trading strategy and earn profit-sharing from Followers who copy your trading strategy.
To apply as a Master Trader, please take note of the following:
1. Please ensure you aren’t currently following a Master Trader, and that you don’t have any existing copy trades. Make sure you have unfollowed all Master Traders and closed any existing positions under any Master Traders.
2. You can only apply to be a Master Trader using a Subaccount. Hence, create a new Subaccount or select an existing Subaccount for your Master Trader application. Both the Standard Subaccount and Unified Trading Subaccount are supported. To learn more about the difference between a Standard Account and a Unified Trading Account, please visit here.
3. Only Isolated Margin mode or Cross Margin mode is supported for Master Trader Copy Trading.
4. Only trades under USDT Perpetual Trading in the Master Trader Subaccount will be copied by your Follower.
5. For Master Trader witha standard subaccount (Non-UTA), you will still be able to trade other products such as Spot Trading, and USDC Perpetual Trading, but it will not be copied by your Followers. For Master Trader with Unified Trading Subaccount, trading products other than USDT perpetual will not be supported at the moment.
6. Please ensure you have read and acknowledged our Master Trader Agreement in case of any breaches.
7. You will need to complete all missions in the Mission Center once your application is completed in order to be featured on the Copy Trading Recommended page.
Here’s a step-by-step guide for applying to become a Master Trader at Bybit.
Apply to Become a Master trader
Step 1: Log in or switch to your Subaccount. If you do not have a supported Subaccount, you can create a new one.
Step 2: Navigate to the Copy Trading page and tap on Join as a Trader. Please note that you will be able to select Join as a Trader from your Main Account, the system will auto-create a Standard Subaccount as your Master Trader Account after the application is completed.
Step 3: Tap on Apply Now and carefully read through the Master Trader Agreement. After understanding the terms, acknowledge and click on I have understood and agreed to the above agreement to proceed.
Step 4: Please provide the following information:

Upload your profile photo

Enter your nickname

Select your country

Enter your Telegram account
Then, click on Next.
Step 5: Your application has been submitted successfully. Tap on Start Copy Trading to enter your Trade Center to complete your Mission in your Mission Center.
Notes:
— You will need to manually transfer the funds from your Main Account to your Subaccount’s Derivatives Account (for Non-UTA Standard Subaccount) or Unified Trading Account first. To learn more about how to transfer assets to your Subaccount, please refer here.

— To switch between your Main Account and Copy Trading Master Trader Account, go to your homepage, tap on the profile icon located in the upper left corner, and select your Account Name. From the dropdown menu, you can switch to other Subaccounts. You can identify your Master Trader Subaccount with a Copy Trading label.
Mission Center
Upon successfully applying to be a Master Trader, it is required to complete the new Master Trader missions located within the Mission Center in order to be featured on the Bybit Copy Trading Recommended page.
Click on Go to Trader Center to enter the Mission Center to complete all New Trader Missions as follows:

Transfer to Master Trader Account: Transfer a minimum of 100 USDT from any account within your Main Account to this Master Trader Account
- Initiate Your First Trade: Open your first position using a Master Trader Account.
Please note that after completing the tasks, it may take 2-3 working days for your information to be displayed on the Bybit copy trading recommendation page.

Tip: Missions will be updated, and limited-time missions will be released at random.
After completing all compulsory missions in the Mission Center, your profile will be featured on the Copy Trading Recommendation page with a ranking. All Master Traders will be ranked in four tiers: Cadet, Bronze, Silver, and Gold. You can find the detailed list of perks and requirements on this page.
Notes:
— Once you fulfill the criteria of each level, you will be upgraded to the next tier and qualify for the corresponding benefits. As long as you meet the requirements of the corresponding level, you can also directly advance to several levels.
— The Follower cap will only be raised when the Master Trader's current follower cap is full. Increments will be made in blocks of 100 for Silver traders and 200 for Gold traders.
— If you are not an existing VIP on Bybit, you will be upgraded to VIP 1 when you qualify for the upgrade benefits. Existing Bybit VIPs will receive a VIP upgrade.
Master Trader Level Evaluation
After you complete the required tasks and pass the review by Bybit, a rating will be given to you based on your account balance, 30-day cumulative profit, and the maximum drawdown in the last 7 days.
Evaluation period: 12AM (midnight) UTC on Saturday to 11:59:59PM UTC on Friday
— Level upgrade evaluation: on a weekly basis. The upgrade will take effect on Saturday between 4:30 AM and 5 AM UTC.
— Level downgrade evaluation: on a weekly basis. The downgrade will take effect on Saturday between 4:30 AM and 5 AM UTC.
Example
Trader A’s level changes as follows:
Week 1: Cadet
Week 2: upgraded to Silver
Week 3: fails to meet the Silver criteria, but will not be downgraded. In addition, trader A will receive a reminder email on the following Saturday.
Week 4: One of the following situations will occur:

Meet the conditions for the Silver level: The Silver rating is retained.

Failed to meet conditions for Silver level: The level will be automatically downgraded from Silver to the corresponding level. Please note that it may happen that you drop down more than one level at a time.
It should be noted that failing to meet the corresponding requirement for each level will trigger a downgrade. Additionally, if no trades have been made in the last 14 days, an automatic downgrade will occur.
